All you need to know about Write & Shine Memberships.

Thanks so much for joining us as a member! We hope the workshops, events and courses bring you creative joy and inspiration, and allow you to deepen your commitment to your writing.

You can cancel your membership anytime by logging into our Stripe portal.

 

How to book Write & Shine workshops and events

Your unique membership code is included in the email entitled ‘Welcome to your Membership.’

Simply visit the Write & Shine website to select the events you’d like to attend, then click the ‘checkout’ button. A pop-up box will appear asking you whether you’d like to ‘pay now’ or if you are a member.’ Please choose the second option, add your email and membership code, then press ‘submit’.

A booking notice will appear on screen. You’ll also receive a booking confirmation for each event sent by email.

We hope this is all smooth and easy, but if you have any queries, email us on hello@write-and-shine.com.

 

A request from us

Please attend all events you book. If you can’t, you should notify us at least 48 hours in advance by email (hello@write-and-shine.com).

We’re a small organisation and while we’ll try to accommodate any changes in your circumstances, we do need this notice to ensure we can cover costs including paying guest tutors. This also helps keep our programme sustainable.

Unfortunately, if you regularly cancel late or are a no-show we may need to pause your membership.

 

Payment information

The monthly membership fees are £99 Membership and £149 for Membership+. Find out more about Memberships here.

Your payment for a monthly membership is taken on the date of purchase and each month on the same day unless cancelled. You can manage your payments here.

Your membership can be cancelled anytime. To cancel, visit our Stripe portal.

To switch your membership to another membership level – Membership or Membership+ — please email us on hello@write-and-shine.com.

Please note that membership payments are non-refundable.

Write & Shine partners with Stripe for simplified billing.

 

Terms & conditions

Please book your workshops in advance in order to guarantee your place, even if you have a membership. Do book early, as sessions fill up!

Your membership is exclusively for you, so you won’t be able to book more than one space on each workshop or event, or send someone else in your place.

You can book all available workshops, retreats and others in advance. However, your membership must be active on the date of the events you’d like to attend. (In other words, if your subscription ends due to cancellation or payment card expiry, you won’t be able to attend events even if you’ve booked in advance. And if you’d like to attend the salon, you should ensure your subscription will cover the whole week.) You can keep an eye on payment dates on the Stripe portal.

Dates and themes in the Write & Shine programme are subject to alterations.

Member events and offers: Each season we hope to offer an event for members or special offers. Expect to hear more about these during the season.

Write & Shine online library: Your membership includes access to the Write & Shine online library featuring over 100 inspiring themes to spark your creativity allow new ideas to flow. You’ll receive login details for the online library in a separate email and we hope you enjoy using it! If you were already a subscriber, we will automatically pause your payments.

Partnership events: Memberships cannot be used to book events Write & Shine runs for external partners including The London Library, The Literary Consultancy and The Royal Society of Literature.

Additional Terms & Conditions for Membership+

Priority booking: You’ll receive each new season’s programme a full 24 hours before anyone else, allowing you to select workshops and plan ahead at your leisure.

Writing with the Seasons: Your membership includes access to ‘Writing with the Seasons’ essay series filled with writing prompts, ideas and inspiration. Expect to receive these essays twice a month on the first and third Fridays. If you were already a subscriber, we will automatically pause your payments.

Seasonal artwork: Each season we create a specially commissioned A4 giclée print exclusively for members. Please email us on hello@write-and-shine.com to request one and to let us know your address. We’ll pop this in the post for you as soon as we can!

 

Finally, a note on upcoming programmes, seasonal salons and the December Festival

The Write & Shine workshop programme runs in seasonal cycles throughout the year: Spring (March-April), Summer (June-July), Autumn (September-October) and Winter (January-February).

In between these seasonal workshop programmes, we’ll offer our popular seasonal salons, a whole week of bright and brilliant events. Next up is our Spring Salon: 20-24 May 2024. You can see a sample salon programme here.

Our December Festival is a month of creativity, moonlight and imagination and includes 5-6 events during the month of December.

These sessions are included in your membership.
